Anderson Lobo
Head of the Lab - Full Professor
Professor Lobo is a Full Professor in Department of Materials Engineering at Federal University of PiauÃ-Brazil. His research interests including nano and micro-bioispired materials for tissue engineering applications. Same of that include nanoparticles for biomedical applications, nano/micro multifunctional polymeric fibers and hydrogels for bone and cartilage regeneration, synthesis and surface modification of multifunctional biomaterials, peptides and quantum dots applied for diagnoses and treatment of neurological diseases. Professor Lobo has been supervising more than 70 students at post-graduate and undergraduate levels in different projects inserted within the aforementioned sub-areas. Professor Lobo finalized his posdoc at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts Institute of Technology to develop 4D-multifunctional materials, considered the next generation of biomaterials. He also has a collaborative network with international researcher centers, such as: visiting professor and collaborative project at Brown University and Northeastern University, visiting professor and collaborative project at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Institut Polytechnique de Grenoble. He has a H index = 22, more than 90 papers and 2000 citations. He has a paper with more than 380 citations at google scholar. Ad doc advisor of several grant agencies including international agencies. Reviewer of more than 40 international scientific journals, such as: Biomaterials, Advanced Materials, Advanced Healthcare Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, ACS Applied Materials & Interface Science and Nanoscale. He is an associated Editor of International Journal of Nanomedicine, a prestigious international open access peer review journal.
